We visited this Abbey in St Jean, founded in the ninth century to house the head of Saint John the Baptist. It was rebuilt in the 14th, 17th and 18th centuries because of repeated destruction by the Vikings, and later the English, it was finally abandoned by the Benedictine monks and it is now a listed building.
