Sunday in Paris

After a long night on the plane, we arrived in Paris to a beautiful sunny day. The queue in customs was unbelievably long but after waiting for only 5 mins a lady waved us through to a new line because we had children with us!  Fantastic start until we realised Conor Power had joined the EU line with his EU passport (after happily telling us he'd wait after customs for us because he'd be through so quickly!!) 45 mins AFTER us, he finally and sheepishly came through, we jumped on a bus to Monteparnasse in Paris.  With an early arrival of 6.10am at the airport, we knew we wouldn't get into our rooms until much later, so we grabbed day packs and started walking. Some highlights.... Mass at Notre Dame, beautiful lunch at a small restaurant - beef fillet, bearnaise sauce (yum) and the first of many pomme frittes (chips), walking through St Germain, and the Coulsons found the singer,Pink, in Luxembourg Gardens with her family having a walk! She's here on tour for a few days.  A very early night and a really great, long sleep and day 1 is done!
