A day at 'home'
Tuesday was a lovely slow day for all. We had a day to rest around the chateau and to explore our lovely surrounds. Each morning Peggy has organised for croissants and baguettes to be ordered so two people go and pick those up. We're taking turns on meal preparation and Damian set a high bar by buying duck breast for the first night and cooking it with a lentil dish. The food is really cheap in the local supermarket in Creon - we were buying necessary supplies like cheeses, and I bought a whole huge wheel of Brie for the kids which cost 3 Euro! Of course the adults ate that because it was so delicious so we had to go back for more the next day. The kids are having a ball - the weather is beautiful so they're moving between the pool, to the lake where they row a boat, and to a soccer field. We're supervising very closely while enjoying the Bordeaux wines!
